Princess Lala Phinisi
A Komodo group boat charter for friends and family
Updated 11 October 2026
Friends or family of up to 18 take the whole of Princess Lala: 18 berths, one long table, karaoke. One to four guests pay IDR 38,000,000 (≈ USD 2,331) for three days; twelve pay IDR 3,830,000 (≈ USD 235) each and eighteen IDR 3,310,000 (≈ USD 203) each. Guide and photographer are quoted separately.
Can your whole group sit down together?
The case for a group on Princess Lala fits in one sentence: everyone eats at the same table. The indoor dining room has one long table for the whole boat, with a tea and coffee point at one end, and a second table stands in the open air at the stern under a timber roof, for the meals nobody wants to eat indoors. A chef cooks every meal. The photographs show grilled fish, crumbed prawns, calamari and a bowl of sambal, the sort of food a table of eighteen can share.
Can everyone you are bringing sit down to the same dinner? Then she fits you.
The boat sleeps 18 in six cabins, and on a charter she is yours alone: your pickup hour, your date if she is free, nobody else at the table. The price is set by headcount in three bands, one to four guests, five to eight and nine to twelve. Above twelve, every extra guest pays one more fare, up to 18. The next section turns that into a figure per head, because that is how a group splits a bill.
The bill, divided by the headcount
A band price covers the whole boat, so the more of you there are, the less each of you pays. Twelve guests on the three-day route pay IDR 46,000,000 (≈ USD 2,822) between them, which is IDR 3,830,000 (≈ USD 235) a head. Eighteen pay that band price plus IDR 2,250,000 (≈ USD 138) for each of the six beyond twelve, which comes to IDR 3,310,000 (≈ USD 203) a head. Eight guests pay IDR 41,000,000 (≈ USD 2,515) together, or IDR 5,120,000 (≈ USD 314) each.
The two-day route follows the same rule. Twelve guests share IDR 35,500,000 (≈ USD 2,178), and eighteen come to IDR 2,560,000 (≈ USD 157) each once the extra-guest fare of IDR 1,750,000 (≈ USD 107) is added for the six beyond twelve.
All of this is 2027 pricing; a charter that sails earlier is priced on request. The table shows every headcount side by side, and each figure is a per-person share, rounded.

Where eighteen people sleep
Count the beds before you count the friends. Cabins 1 to 5 each hold a double and a single bed, and Cabin 6 gains a third berth on a charter. That makes 18 berths, and a full boat is three to a room, in all six cabins.
Each cabin has a sea-view window and air conditioning. The first three are on the upper deck, up the stairs, and the last three on the main deck. Cabins 1 and 6 have a private balcony, so they go to the couples in the group, or to whoever organised the whole thing. Cabin 3 shares a bathroom that is outside the cabin; the other five have their own. Give Cabin 3 to the friends who will say they do not mind, and ask them again before you book.
A smaller group does not fill every cabin and does not need to. Tell us who is travelling with whom and we propose a split. The bed plan below shows what is in each room.
| Cabin | Rooms | Beds | Sleeps | with the single bed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cabin 1 · Master with balcony | 1 | 1 double + 1 single | 2 | 3 |
| Cabin 2 · Private | 1 | 1 double + 1 single | 2 | 3 |
| Cabin 3 · Private, shared bathroom | 1 | 1 double + 1 single | 2 | 3 |
| Cabin 4 · Private | 1 | 1 double + 1 single | 2 | 3 |
| Cabin 5 · Private | 1 | 1 double + 1 single | 2 | 3 |
| Cabin 6 · Master with balcony | 1 | 1 double; a single berth is added on private charters | 2 | 3 |
| Berths in total | 6 | 12 | 18 |
After dinner, the sound system
The karaoke and the sound system are part of the charter fare, so nobody has to bring a speaker or hire one. Where you sing is your call. For the ones who have sung enough there is the bow, where the sundeck is laid with green turf and bean bags, or the side deck, where two canvas deck chairs sit in the shade.
On the first evening the boat is off Kalong at sunset, when the bats stream out of the mangroves. That is watched from the boat. Nobody walks anywhere for it.
The Wi-Fi comes from a crew hotspot and works only where a phone has signal. It drops between islands. Tell the group before they promise a sister a live call from the sandbar.
What the charter fare leaves out
The fare covers the boat and crew, all meals and drinks on board, a mask and snorkel for each guest, the karaoke and sound system, and pickup. Three things stay outside it.
- Guide and documentation. The guide and photographer belong to the open trip, not to a charter fare. Either can be added and is quoted separately.
- Park fees. The park and the ranger are paid by each guest at the park's rates.
- Tips, flights, hotel nights and insurance.
50 percent down confirms the date; the rest is due 30 days before sailing.
And one plain sentence for the organiser. If every one of the eighteen wants a cabin to themselves, a full boat is not the answer: it sleeps three to a cabin. For groups that are happy with that, it is a good trip to split.
FAQ
What is the largest group the whole boat can take?
18 guests in 18 berths: Cabins 1 to 5 each have a double and a single, and Cabin 6 gains a third berth on a charter. From the thirteenth guest every extra guest pays IDR 2,250,000 (≈ USD 138) on the three-day route. Tell us the headcount and the pairs, and we confirm the cabins in writing.
What does each person pay if we are twelve?
On the three-day route the whole boat for nine to twelve guests is IDR 46,000,000 (≈ USD 2,822), which is IDR 3,830,000 (≈ USD 235) a head. On the two-day route it is IDR 2,960,000 (≈ USD 182) a head. Those are 2027 shares, rounded; a 2026 date is priced on request.
Can a group take the boat for two days only?
Yes. The two-day charter is IDR 31,750,000 (≈ USD 1,948) for one to four guests, IDR 33,000,000 (≈ USD 2,025) for five to eight guests, IDR 35,500,000 (≈ USD 2,178) for nine to twelve, plus IDR 1,750,000 (≈ USD 107) for each guest beyond twelve. The route is the first two days of the three-day charter, without the third day.
Is karaoke included in the charter fare?
Yes. The karaoke and sound system are part of the charter fare and need no extra booking. Dinner is at the long table in the dining room, and anyone who has sung enough can go up to the bean bags on the bow sundeck. The Wi-Fi hotspot drops between islands, so download the playlist before you board.
Who guides and photographs a private group?
A guide and the photo and video work are not in a charter fare; add either on request and we quote it separately. Dragon walks on Komodo always have a park ranger, whose fee is paid with the park fees.
Does everyone in a group of eighteen get a bed?
Yes: 18 berths, one for each guest. Six double beds and six single berths make up the 18, three in every cabin. Cabin 3 has its bathroom outside the cabin and shares it; the other five cabins have their own.
